Kurirplanet Gripen som var p\u00e5 hemv\u00e4g fr\u00e5n Aberdeen till Stockholm blev beskjutet av en tysk Junkers, Ju 88. Flygkaptenen gjorde ett heroiskt f\u00f6rs\u00f6k att n\u00f6dlanda men det brinnande planet kraschade mot klipporna vid Marmorbass\u00e4ngen. Endast tv\u00e5 ombordvarande som slungats ur planet innan explosionen klarade sig.
